Integrity Tracker

I am using the three questions proposed by James Clear:

  • What are the core values that drive my life and work?
  • How am I living and working with integrity right now?
  • How can I set a higher standard in the future?

Here are probing questions tailored to help me consistently reflect on and align with my core valueshealth, relationships, money, culture, growth, and time. (You are welcome to replicate these questions for your Integrity Report, or you can develop your own using the core values checklist.) I use these prompts weekly to revisit my core values and consider whether I am aligned and living up to them. I have been tracking my core values for over 25 years, but if you are starting, you can verify your core values quarterly to ensure that you are tracking the right ones. Each question is designed to challenge assumptions, spark awareness, and encourage intentional action:

🧠 Health (Temperance, Moderation, Cleanliness)

  1. Am I honoring my body’s needs today, or just pushing through discomfort?
  2. What recent habits or choices are either supporting or sabotaging my long-term vitality?
  3. Is my mental health getting the attention and care it deserves?
  4. Have I built recovery or rest into my schedule as seriously as I do activity or work?
  5. Am I choosing foods, movement, and sleep patterns that truly serve me, or are they driven by convenience or impulse?

❤️ Relationships (Trustworthiness, Belonging, Usefulness, Harmony)

  1. Have I truly listened to someone I care about this week without needing to fix or respond?
  2. Am I showing up in my relationships as the person I want to be, or defaulting to old patterns?
  3. What difficult conversation have I been avoiding, and why?
  4. Who in my life energizes me, and who depletes me?
  5. Do I give the same grace and attention to my closest people as I do to strangers or colleagues?

💰 Money (Freedom, Order, Frugality, Industry)

  1. Are my current financial choices aligned with my future vision, or are they merely satisfying the present moment?
  2. Is my spending a reflection of my values or a reaction to stress, boredom, or comparison?
  3. What part of my financial life am I avoiding — and what’s the cost of that avoidance?
  4. Am I investing in tools, education, or assets that grow my wealth and peace of mind?
  5. If I reviewed my budget or bank statement today, would it reflect who I say I want to be?

🌍 Culture (Authenticity, Justice)

  1. How am I preserving, honoring, or evolving the traditions and values I’ve inherited?
  2. Am I seeking voices and perspectives different from my own — and actually listening?
  3. Where in my life do I conform out of comfort, rather than contribute with purpose?
  4. Do I use my voice or platform to elevate the culture I believe in, or do I stay silent?
  5. Am I engaging with my community in ways that feel meaningful or just performative?

📈 Growth (Resolute, Creativity, Performance)

  1. What challenge am I currently leaning into — and what am I learning from it?
  2. When was the last time I intentionally did something that scared me?
  3. Is my schedule a reflection of growth, or just maintenance?
  4. Am I growing by design or drifting by default?
  5. What am I consuming (books, media, conversations) — and is it expanding me or keeping me stagnant?

Time (Resolute, Efficiency, Balance)

  1. Am I spending my time on what matters most, or what feels most urgent?
  2. Where am I leaking time on distractions, indecision, or avoidance?
  3. Does my calendar reflect my priorities, or someone else’s agenda?
  4. What would I do differently today if I treated time as sacred and non-renewable?
  5. Am I allowing enough unstructured time for reflection, rest, or creativity?
  6. When I say “I don’t have time,” is it really a matter of time — or of priorities and boundaries?
  7. Am I present in the moments I’m living, or mentally somewhere else?
  8. Is my sense of urgency driven by values, or by fear and pressure?

🌿 Peace (Stillness, Chastity, Trust)

🧠 Mental Stillness

  • What thoughts or mental loops are keeping me from experiencing calm right now?
  • Am I trying to solve or control something that would be better met with surrender?
  • Have I given myself enough mental space to simply be today?

💓 Emotional Peace

  • What emotion am I resisting that may settle if I fully feel it?
  • Who or what have I not forgiven yet, and what part of me stays unsettled as a result?
  • Am I reacting or responding — and what would peace choose?

🕯️ Environmental Stillness

  • What in my environment (digital, physical, relational) is contributing to noise?
  • When was the last time I sat in silence — and why haven’t I returned to it?
  • Where can I subtract to make space for calm?

🧭 Spiritual / Existential Peace

  • What deeper truth or principle can I return to right now to restore stillness?
  • Do I trust life to unfold without my interference? Where am I forcing instead of flowing?
  • What does “enough” feel like — and how can I live more from that place?
